Aviva, Deloitte and Microsoftto set new boardroomracial diversity targets

I strongly believe that companies should do more to improve racial diversity. We live in a multicultural society where everyone should be treated the same.

It’s not a lie that people with other color, other religion and so on get treated differently. In fact, look at all the Black Lives Matters movements that are going on. Everyone should be treated the same, especially on the work floor. There is just too many racial discrimination in a lot of companies.

Secondly, I think that it’s time that every person gets equal rights and equal opportunities. The CBI said 37% of FTSE 100 firms still did not have any minority ethnic representation on their boards and that’s a shame. It has to stop that some people just don’t get accepted at a job interview because of their color.

Third, It’s obvious that every company should improve racial diversity. So I’m glad that they invite every company to do this. Furthermore, I’m also glad that they really follow it up. The companies have to, for example, publish ethnicity pay gaps reports, and set concrete targets for the ethnic diversity of their executive and senior management teams

The conclusion is that I strongly believe that companies should do more to improve racial diversity. There is just too many racial discrimination going on in the business world (and also out this world). I totally stand with CBI when they say the time has come for a concerted campaign on racial and ethnic participation in business leadership. I’m happy that every company can join and that big companies like Microsoft for example joins and leads this campaign.
