I truly believe that the lockdowns as a cure for the coronavirus are much worse than the disease itself.
First, due to the lockdown, a lot of jobs, especially in the CHR sector, are facing cliff-edge. If you work at an office, telework is possible. But if you work at a restaurant, a café or a hotel, you can’t work from home. Because of this lots of people are going to lose their job and their income.
Secondly, I find that the lockdown has nothing positive. People’s mental health is becoming worser and worser thanks to the lockdown. It causes isolation and distancing yourself from people. This has of course as an effect that there is no such thing as social contact, which leads to mental health problems.
Furthermore, all the while during this lockdown, the transmission rate went up and up and up. The lockdown’s not working. It’s only creating problems.
So, to summarize, the lockdowns as a cure for the coronavirus are much worse than the disease itself.
